Krystal Baker is an amazingly talented singer-songwriter who has the ability to perform in a wide variety of  genres and styles.  These include album oriented rock, adult contemporary, indie pop, folk-jazz, blues and alternative country.

Krystal Baker's fans often enjoy Lisa Loeb, Sheryl Crow, Natalie Merchant, The Cranberries, The Corrs, Dido, Stevie Nicks, Edie Brickell, Sarah McLachlan, Beth Heart, Ani DiFranco, Aimee Mann, Beth Orton, Dar Williams,  Amanda Marshall, Alanis Morrissette, Norah Jones and the Indigo Girls.

Krystal has seen a good deal of the country growing up, having spent time in Oregon, Florida, Arizona and Colorado. "Mama's little songbird" had great  support for her obvious career choice, coming from a family that sang together as a matter of course.

In the late 90's, in Colorado Springs, Krystal met Laura Pound (now Laura Rupejko) and the two acoustic-rock singer-songwriters formed the duet WILD ANGELS, performing in local clubs and coffee shops.  They released their first CD in 1998, titled "Walking on Water".  With its success, Krystal and Laura relocated to Arizona to broaden their audience and to subsequently record four more CD's.

Since Krystal and Laura arrived in Phoenix, they have  performed ongoingly in a number of configurations,  -- as a duet, Krystal by herself, Laura by herself, Krystal with guests, Laura with guests, and with both Krystal and Laura in a full band, fittingly named  Wild Angels Band.   In 2003, under the production supervision of Josh Mottley, the Wild Angels Band independently released the CD, "About Time",  receiving great sales and critical success.

By December,  2005, the Wild Angels Band had played for a number of years, often performing as many as 25 times per month, including shows in San Diego, Los Angeles, Prescott, Jerome and the Phoenix-Scottsdale area.  It was time for a hiatus.  Especially with the news that co-lead singer, Laura Rupejko  was "with child" and her needing to significantly reduce her exposure to smoke.  The band finished the year with a packed farewell concert at Joe's Grotto in north Phoenix.

Now, 2006, Krystal and Laura continue to play, (albeit only one night per week), as the duet WILD ANGELS -- every Tuesday night at 9 PM at the Dubliner Irish Pub in Phoenix.

Krystal Baker continues to record and perform as lead singer and rhythm guitar player in the band "Krystal Baker", presenting her own music with the help of  the gifted Wild Angels Band's lead guitar & harmonica player, Sturgis Waters.  Enjoy Krystal and Sturgis, along with other Krystal Baker players, as they entertain audiences  throughout Arizona and the southwest.

Along with her busy calendar, Krystal continues to host Open Mic Night, every Sunday at 9 PM at the Dubliner Irish Pub.  Krystal has hosted it since the late '90's,  having made friends with local artists and created a unique music scene where musicians enjoy each others' company in a non-competitive inclusive atmosphere.  Many of the artists/friends she meets there go on to perform on her CD's.  Krystal's warmth and open attitude keep the musicians and audiences returning week after week.

Visit the News and Shows areas to stay up on Krystal Baker's current events.  Come to a show and bring a friend.
